ABOUT US
The purpose of The Design Network is to promote landscape design and its
principles, practices and associated disciplines, by networking with and
mutually supporting women working in the “green industries” of Northeast
Ohio.
Established 26 years ago, our membership includes professional women in
all phases of horticulture including landscape design, installation and
maintenance; nursery owners; horticulturists; arborists; educators; garden
writers; lecturers and sales executives.
Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month between September
and March. Program content is driven by member’s choices as reflected in
an annual program evaluation survey. Meetings provide important
networking opportunities as well as professionally relevant topics presented
by highly qualified speakers. Additional programs including garden and
nursery tours and special workshops are also held during the year. Events
are promoted in our e-newsletter and on our website.
The Design Network also prides itself on offering a professional mentoring
service in a mutually supportive atmosphere of women in the green industry.
We support various charities that reflect our mission and collaborate with
other local organizations on programs and other events.
