Marie McConnell will speak about optimizing the relationship between garden and landscape professionals. She has asked if there is any topic we'd like to cover that is of particular interest to our group. Please let Hillary know if you have particular questions, as Marie is customizing her talk to our interests. She will be showing us plants that Lake County Nursery is growing as part of the talk.
Marie McConnell is the Sales Representative for Lake County Nursery covering NE OH and the Midwestern states. Marie is a graduate from ATI/OSU with more than 30 years’ experience in the nursery profession. She mentored under Ralph Shugert during her internship in Western Michigan at Zelenka Nursery. Once graduating from ATI/OSU she has worked for various nurseries in the area before joining her family at Lake County Nursery. Marie was the 2018 Ohio Landscape Association President and recently finished 6 years as an active board member. Marie is currently teaching for Tri-C’s Plant Science Technology. She is the instructor for 2 classes, Plant Production and Nursery/Garden Center Management.
When not busy with horticulture Marie can be found on her boat and jet ski on Lake Erie with her granddaughter!
